about us

As a mother of two sons on the autism spectrum and also being on the spectrum myself, I have lived experience of what unrealised potential looks like and the barriers that get in the way of an individual realising their unique potential. I am passionate about supporting children, teens and adults to find their rhythm, their own way to: Live Well On The Spectrum!
I am passionate about music and creativity and supporting individuals in their own unique journey, infusing music and creativity into their lives so that they may find their way to truly Live Well on The Spectrum.
I have extensive professional experience working creatively and therapeutically in the sphere of piano and music education.
I am passionate about working collaboratively with NDIS Participants and their support networks.
I am committed to helping you achieve your goals. Mary-Ann Murnane BA (Hons), Grad Dip Hum (Music) Grad Dip Ed (Primary) MVMTA

what people say

  • Mary-Ann teaches two of our children. Our youngest son is 6 years old and proudly autistic. He finds it hard to sit still and focus on tasks. Mary-Ann has all the attributes of a great teacher: patience, understanding gentle but firm guidance, a happy and buoyant nature that immediatly puts students at ease. She has put the gift of music into our boys hands, minds and hearts in such a way that we have never witnessed before.
    ★★★★★
    Shane jacobson, parent
Mary-Ann’s love for music is infectious and she goes to great lengths to nurture it in her students also. From the moment you step into her studio, after having walked through the fairy garden filled with little musical creatures and instruments, you are immersed in books about music, miniature pianos and a variety of other musical instruments that spark your curiosity. She makes a real effort to understand students’ interests and passions, and incorporates these into their music journey, either through their choice of pieces to learn, through challenges like the Grand Piano Lego project (which encouraged students to practise regularly every week), or through drawings that allow students to express their feelings and thoughts.
    ★★★★★
    Gabriela WElch, Parent
Mary-Ann, your work is just so beautiful: sensitive and evocative and delicate and real and drenched in the particulars and impossibilities of real people’s lives… Your work is so alive to the intricacies and complexities of our lives in relationship, it is so exciting and leaves me so hopeful for the prospect of teachers and students and families and communities working respectfully together.
